Emergencies ONLY

If you are responding to an emergency situation involving a major hazardous atmospheric release where lives are at risk and federal dispersion modeling assistance is required, notify one of the following organizations:

  • National Atmospheric Release Advisory Center (NARAC) Operations at 925-424-6465 (for emergencies only)
  • Department of Energy (DOE) Watch Office 202-586-8100 (for emergencies only)

From 7:30 AM to 4:15 PM Pacific Time, Monday-Friday, calling NARAC Operations will put you in direct contact with one of our trained operations staff members who will ask you a short series of questions to determine the nature and severity of the incident. Off-hours, the LLNL's Emergency Duty Officer will answer your call; ask for NARAC and your request will be passed to our on-call staff. You will receive a call back in about 10 minutes.
