Tools

NARAC maintains a suite of plume modeling capabilities for assessing the consequences of hazardous atmospheric releases of nuclear, radiological, chemical, or biological materials. This tool set includes the following:

  • NARAC Operational Modeling System comprised of three-dimensional meteorological and dispersion computer models, supplemented by extensive chemical/radiological/biological material property data, source term models, global real-time meteorological data acquisition capabilities, and databases of hazardous material properties, human dose and risk factors, and geographical information
  • NARAC Web-based tools for requesting, mapping and sharing model predictions with different user groups
  • Stand-alone PC-based plume modeling and health physics tools: HotSpot and EPIcode
